I want to know why this song which was good its first couple weeks, but its getting shitty, and its been number 1 for nine weeks which is ridiculous, and the girl cant sing but rely on autotune. Why is this still topping the billboard????!!!

Because it’s a really fun catchy song. Sorry to break it to all of you hopefuls out there, but all songs that were recorded in a studio use auto tune! No one ever denied it, especially on Kesha’s super pop album.

Just saw the billboard list of top albums and songs that was depressing… except for Sade who has the #1 album so yay… but other than that I was not impressed. It all seems to be more about visuals and looks now… I suppose it has been that way for a long certainly since MTV changed everything.

I listen to knew music but it never gets on the charts (Jacqui Naylor is fabulous!) I don’t care so much about that other than I have to endure this "noise" at every restaurant, mall, and dance club I go into. I’m just marveling at the marketing machines that get people to buy unoriginal mediocre music with no dynamic range, cliche lyrics and the same beat over and over.

What do ya’ll think of billboard popular music nowadays? It doesn’t do anything for me, how about you?

Eh, it is all a little cliche, but I still try to respect all music whether I like it or not. It’s just what the majority of people are into and who am I to say that their taste in music is crap

We all know that Poker Face was a hit (by Lady Gaga), but I really need to know how long it was on the billboards. I know it was weeks, but I want to know how many. First person to give a REAL answer gets 10 points and best answer. :D!

Ok, I have nothing against Ke$ha or any other artist but…

Come on people, she doesn’t even sing in the song…it is a monotone of her talking throughout the entire song. How is that the best pop song in America? Does that just prove how pathetic and dumb American’s tastes are when it comes to music?

hmmmm…The album Bitter Tears: The Ballad of the American Indian released only that one single:
"The Ballad of Ira Hays" which topped the charts…
So everything else on the album wasn’t a hit. Also, that one track The Legend of John Henry’s Hammer wasn’t a hit either.
